Jaipur Metro is the solution and requirement of a mass rapid transport system for the rapid growth in the city. After that, low floor buses were introduced. And then Jaipur Metro was sanctioned. The many-fold growth of the city population in the last few decades kept the transport system of the system under high demand.
The Jaipur metro project was started with the DPR (Detailed Project Report) provided by DMRC (Delhi Metro Rail Corporation), a company is established with the name Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation Limited to work on this project.
Jaipur Metro Blue Line
In the first phase of the project Blue Line from Mansarovar to Badi Chaupar is being constructed as of Nov. 2011, being in the final stages as of May 2013. The delay in the project is already observed and now the launch of this major project has been postponed for nearly 3-4 months from expected June-2013 to October-2013.
The first route will be Mansarovar, New Aatish Market, Vivek Vihar, Shyam Nagar, Ram Nagar, Civil Lines, Railway Station, Sindhi Camp, Chandpole, Chauti Chaupad, and Badi Chaupar as last stop.
The metro station at Chandpole will be the only underground station on the route, Chauti Chaupad and Badi Chaupar will be added to the list of underground metro stations later.
The length of the route is approximately 9.25 km. In the first phase roll-out, metro rail will be running out only up to Chandpole from Mansarovar, which will be connected to the other two metro stations after the completion of phase two.

Jaipur Metro Orange Line
In the second phase of the project, Orange Line from Sitapura Industrial Area to Ambabari will be constructed via Durgapura, EP Station, Fortis, WT Park, Malviya Nagar, Jawahar Kala Kendra, Bajaj Nagar Tonk Phatak, Gandhi Nagar Mode, SMS stadium, Narayan Singh Circle, SMS Hospital, Ajmeri Gate, Government Hostel, Sindhi Camp, Subhash Nagar, Panipech and Ambabari. After completion of this route, the remaining portion of the first route will be connected.
Jaipur Metro Coaches and Frequency
In the first phase rollout, the Jaipur Metro will have 10 trains with each having 4 coaches and running in a time interval of 6 minutes. On peak hours, the interval is expected to be reduced to five minutes. And as the number of commuters grows, the capacity will be increased from 4 coaches to 6 coaches.
